Fun Facts
I love sports, especially football, basketball, and golf. Played 10 years of football growing up as a kid and am a fan of the Chicago bears (sorry vikings or packers fans!) I enjoy traveling, I have been to 36 of the 50 states in the US and have been on a 3 week trip to Italy. Playing guitar, reading and learning about history, and spending time with my friends are some of my hobbies.
About Me
My name is Joe I am a senior majoring in chemical engineering and minoring in chemistry at the University of Minnesota. When I graduate I plan to enter the work force, specifically in the energy industry. In the future I want to go back to school in order to earn an MBA.
Experience
In high school I spent a lot of time minneapolis">tutoring younger students in chemistry and in math. The more I tutored, the more I discovered it is something I am good at and at the same time it is something I enjoy. This job helps me to continue my passion for helping out students and seeing them succeed in tough subjects like math and chemistry.
Approach
My approach to teaching is to help students to master the material which they are studying. This involves repetition and practice. Helping students to understand what they are learning about and also how it applies to the real world is something I highly value and feel is important to incorporate into learning every day.
