About Me
Currently, I am double majoring in Theatre and Mathematics at Arizona State University, with a GPA of 3.71. I have learned how to juggle many activities outside of school while still being successful, so I understand how to be "successfully busy". My second major in Mathematics allows me to explore my love of math, as well as providing me more reliable and concrete career options in the future.
I have experience as a math phoenix">tutor through high school and have tutored all levels of math, from Elementary to Calculus. I love learning and I love helping other people learn. I've worked with kids on both sides of the spectrum, from kids who don't understand concepts and are struggling, to those kids who are yearning for more and have trouble staying entertained in class. I was also a camp counselor last year at Camp Sky-Y in Prescott, Arizona, and have experience working and communicating with kids of all ages.
My approach to phoenix">tutoring is simple: get down to the basics and understand the fundamental concepts. By doing that, the process of applying and practicing concepts becomes so much easier! All of the students I've tutored have had success in their classes and improved their test scores, sometimes by as much as 30%. I am very patient, and will often try different approaches and examples, in order to find out what works best for the student. I also try to teach my students excellent study and note-taking skills, since those skills are crucial to being successful in school. I am very excited to help your student out!
