Fun Facts
I love being in school, learning just for the fun of it, and working collaboratively with others on my research. My favorite activities are travel, exercising, and I recently got into (advanced) coloring books! I am close to my brother, my graduate advisor, and several graduate school friends in Austin.
About Me
I am a PhD student in psychology at University of Texas - Austin. I was on the President's and Dean's Honor Roll throughout college, and I graduated magna cum laude from Rice University. At UT, I am a recipient of the William Powers Fellowship, a prestigious award named for the president of our university. My ultimate goal is to become a psychologist and professor.
Experience
I have tutored peers and younger students ever since middle school. When I was a child, I hosted summer courses for my younger brother's classmates! I have always been interested in austin">tutoring and teaching. In college, I worked with students of all subjects.
Approach
I firmly believe that the bases of academic success are (1) adequate study skills and (2) developing a love of learning. I try to instill those things in everyone I austin">tutor, while recognizing that motivation and confidence are key for students who need help. As a austin">tutor, I attempt to bring this attitude to all of my sessions.
