Fun Facts
I have such a passion for children and helping them achieve anything they want to achieve. I get great joy from seeing children light up as soon as you walk in the room. I love playing volleyball, which I played in high school. I'm always down to go shopping. I have a younger sister and precious yellow lab named Willow.
About Me
I'm a freshman Early Childhood Education major at the University of Texas at Austin. My first semester I got 2 A's and 2 B's. I will be ESL certified when I get my degree and I want to get my masters in education and also be certified to teach education/texas/austin">special education.
Experience
I have had experience helping my younger sister with her homework as well as whenever I would babysit, I would help the children with their homework. I work with students every week as part of my field work for my education courses. Also, my senior year of high school I interned for 3 hours a day at an elementary school where I shadowed a 3rd grade teacher so this is where I gained most of my experience on teaching and helping students with questions they needed answered about some work.
Approach
I've received many awards for my accomplishments and got the student of the month from my teachers in each of my elementary grades for at least one of the months out of the year. As a austin">tutor, I want to help students accomplish the goals that they have for themselves without directly giving them a straight answer, instead guiding them towards that answer. I want them to feel like I've made a difference in not only their school work but also their life in general!

Math Tutoring
I'm an early childhood education major at the University of Texas at Austin. My ideal grade to teach would be 2nd-4th but I am capable of teaching any grade. I have taken math every year since Kindergarten so I have a lot of knowledge about the subject. I've always gotten A's or high B's in every math course I've taken, even through my first semester of college. I've taken algebra, geometry, foundations of mathematics, pre calculus, and calculus. I interned at an elementary school and assisted the 3rd graders with any questions they had about their math work.
