Fun Facts
Anyone who knows me knows I love to play volleyball! In high school I was varsity captain of our state-ranked team and also played on a Nationals club team. I have recently learned to cook and enjoy making a variety of meals with my Italian aunts. I have three brothers and grew up on football. Watch out during NFL season, I get into every game! About Me
I am currently a high school math and science teacher in southern Phoenix. I teach physics, biology, chemistry, health, and three remedial math courses for juniors and seniors. In one year I will graduate from Arizona State University with a Masters in Secondary Education. Before all of this, I attended Gonzaga University and graduated with a BA in Psychology and a BA in Biology with a concentration in medical studies. My ultimate goal is to attend medical school and eventually become a pediatric psychiatrist.
My experience with phoenix">tutoring began in middle school, when I tutored math after school in my old 6th grade classroom. From there, I tutored elementary and math-middle-school/arizona/phoenix">middle school math through high school. In college I was an algebra phoenix">tutor for the mens crew team and also an organic chemistry phoenix">tutor for the chemistry department. I have found that people are often coming to me when they need help, even today in my masters program. Obviously as a teacher I phoenix">tutor students every day, both during school hours and after class for additional help.
As a current teacher I have a very specific classroom style. I try to build relationships with every single one of my students in order to create an area of respect for both the students and myself. My classes work as a collaborative, both between students and with myself to ensure everyone has the ability to be successful. I believe that all students can succeed, we just sometimes take different paths!
