Fun Facts
I love playing and watching basketball. I played varsity basketball at my college for four years. I also love playing guitar, though I'm not a great singer. Exercising is important to me; I'm working on a healthier lifestyle.
About Me
I am a senior mathematics major at Colorado College. I have a 3.3 major GPA and a 3.69 GPA overall. I plan on entering a Master of Arts in Teaching program following graduation. I hope to be a certified math teacher by the 2016-2017 school year.
Experience
I have volunteered in the boulder">tutoring center at a local high school. I have also worked with students at the elementary, middle, and high school level. I taught incoming freshmen in a six week summer school program last summer. This gave me a chance to work with my own classroom and develop my own lessons.
Approach
I have had many struggles in my college math classes, so math is not something that has just always come easy to me. I understand how frustrating it can be to fall behind and class and feel like it's impossible to catch up. That being said, I have a really strong handle of all the material that I will be teaching in boulder">tutoring lessons. My experience as a teacher and as a college student will make me an extremely affective teacher.
