Fun Facts
In my spare time I love reading science fiction novels and watching movies. I have two older sisters and am from the suburbs of Chicago. I haven't been out of the country yet but one day I hope to travel to Europe with my friends.
About Me
I am a freshman Biomedical Engineering major at the University of Minnesota--Twin Cities. I currently volunteer as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in one of the schools labs. I hope to attend graduate school to earn a Ph. D. in Toxicology.
Experience
I was a member of National Honors Society in high school and volunteered for 2 years as a minneapolis">tutor in the high school's minneapolis">tutoring center. I worked in the areas of Math and Science and tutored all levels. I enjoyed the experience of helping students get better at the subjects I loved. In college I currently volunteer doing outreach events for Chemistry for all grade levels and look forward to helping students succeed.
Approach
When aiding students in any subject area, I first go through a problem step by step asking questions to lead students to the correct answer. As the student makes progress I give less input per problem until they are able to succeed without my assistance. I keep a positive attitude and stay patient so that whatever level a student begins at they will always make progress and learn at there own pace. I take great pride in the success of students.
