About Me
I am a Masters Degree Candidate in Sociology at the memphis">University of Memphis. My research focuses on the Sociology of Suicide. Upon graduation, I plan to go on to get my PhD, or secure a job in applied sociology.
Experience
I have a B.A. degree in Spanish from Elon University. I completed a research-based capstone course in Spanish and presented my work, in a foreign language, at the Student Undergraduate Research Forum. I spent 18 months living abroad as a young adult. During that time, I developed Spanish fluency, and was able to sharpen my skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, translating, and interpreting. I have extensive experience memphis">tutoring Spanish students of all ages.
Approach
I understand that learning a foreign language is like, well, learning a foreign language. I work to integrate the complex concepts in the Spanish language with what the student already knows, so they are able to build their knowledge at their own pace. I aim to be patient and encouraging of a student who is committed to their practice.

I am a Master's Degree Candidate in Sociology at the University of Memphis. One of the core components of our curriculum is mastery of social statistics, and training in qualitative and quantitative methods. As a teaching assistant, I have gained extensive experience tutoring undergraduate students in statistics at the 300-level.
Psychology Tutoring
I have a B.A. degree in Psychology from Elon University. I completed a research-based capstone course in Psychology and presented my work at the Student Undergraduate Research Forum. I was employed as a peer tutor at Elon University to assist undergraduates in 100-200 level courses in Psychology.
Sociology Tutoring
I am a Master's Degree Candidate in Sociology at the University of Memphis. The core components of our curriculum include extensive training in qualitative and quantitative methodology, statistics, and theoretical foundations of sociology. Because of my experience as a teaching assistant and research assistant in Sociology, I am well-qualified to tutor 100-200 level courses in Sociology.
