Fun Facts

Something that people see in me is my willingness to help. I love to help especially in areas that I can provide good tips. I am originally from the northern part of Mexico and was able to attend bilingual institutions since primary school. My desire is to be fluent in 5 languages, Spanish, English, French, Esperanto and German. I have achieve two of those goals, now I have three to go. I am currently learning French and it brings me back to the hardships of learning a new language.

About Me

I am a current teacher at a local private high school and I am a current adjunct instructor in a private university. I have been blessed to participate in a private school culture and a university culture. I also been part of the public school system. I am a current UTSA graduate, Go Roadrunners!!!. I hold a BA in Spanish. I am in my way to complete my MA in spanish and a translation certificate.I am also looking forward to find my place where I can pursue my doctorate degree.

Experience

I have been blessed with the formal experience in participating in learning and teaching environment. I also been blessed with the amazing opportunity to experience a diverse culture. I decided to begin a teaching career because it is my desire to help individuals achieve a degree of bilingualism because it is very beneficial. As a new teacher of a foreign language I had the opportunity to be immersed in the learning of language and all the tricks that make it easy to learn.

Approach

I have participated in the acquisition of a language and culture in a formal environment My education background is concentrated in the Spanish language, history and culture. Currently I am working with the traditional approach and as well with a task based/ communicative model which I find very helpful.
As I language learner I remember the frustrations that come with it, but I am also benefiting immensely from the perks.
