Fun Facts
I moved to Colorado 10 years ago for the outdoor lifestyle and absolutely LOVE all that is Colorado--hiking, backpacking, trail running, and my favorite hobby is rock climbing! My husband and I have completed many multi-day backpacking trips and climbed many multi-pitch climbs--truly incredible experiences. My family means the world to me--my husband, 2 year old daughter Adie, and ol' dog Marley!
About Me
I am an English teacher at a high school in Parker, CO with 10+ years of experience. I have taught all levels of English from reading and writing strategies classes to AP Language and Composition and also teach an AVID class where I get to work with small group of students helping to motivate them and helping them to find success in their academic classes through one on one denver">tutoring and lessons in study skills and time management.
Experience
I have 10+ years teaching experience, teaching both English (all levels) and AVID. I have coached both cross country and track, both as an assistant coach and head coach, and attended numerous teaching conferences both sponsored by CollegeBoard and AVID. I have spent summers nannying and denver">tutoring and am excited to work with more students through Frog denver">Tutoring to help them achieve their goals.
Approach
I did not love school until I reached high school where I was fortunate enough to have a teacher and coach who, through encouragement and kindness, helped me to realize all I was capable of. This teacher made me want to be a teacher so that I could encourage and impact others the way she did for me. As a denver">tutor, it is my job to challenge and motivate my students so that they can be successful in all that they take on.
