I studied abroad in Spain at the University of Salamanca while completing my Spanish major at Rutgers University. While in Spain, my Spanish improved tremendously as I spoke it with the natives and my peers every day.

About Me

I graduated from Rutgers University, majoring in Spanish and Communication, minoring in Latin American Studies. I am currently a high school Spanish teacher.

Experience

I am in my second year as a high school Spanish teacher. I have subbed as a long term Spanish teacher at JFK High School, I translated articles for the brunswick">New Brunswick Today newspaper and interviewed Spanish speaking players, I've translated from English to Spanish as a sales associate with Sam's Club, and I have majored in Spanish and minored in Latin American Studies from Rutgers University. I've also traveled abroad to Spain, Puerto Rico and Colombia where I put my skill to the test!

Approach

When tutoring, I start with the basics. Many of my friends are shy to speak Spanish because they feel it isn't good, which prevents them from improving. All you need to do is believe in yourself and not worry about how you sound. The only way that you can get better is by practicing and trying. When I was younger, I was embarrassed that I couldn't speak Spanish with my family.It was my mission to learn to speak Spanish, now I'd like help others learn too. My goal is to have you speak a lot!
