Fun Facts
I love soccer and working on cars in my spare time. I am the youngest of four brothers and I love to teach math. I can play the guitar and can't sing if my life depended on it.
About Me
I am a high school teacher with a BA in Secondary Education and a BS in Secondary Mathematics from Northeastern Illinois University. I've been a teacher for 5 years. I've started my masters program already and slowly working towards a MS in Secondary Education.
Experience
I tutored at NEIU for 2 years in the Math Lab from pre-algebra to real analysis. I also teach in inner city Chicago to the same high school I attended as a freshmen. I've been teaching for 5 years and I've taught from 7th grade to 12th grade.
Approach
I was never really a math person up until I took Algebra 2 with a great teacher who changed my perspective. I've been trying to do that with everyone of my students since then. I enjoy solving math problems with struggling students because of the road to knowledge is a wonderful experience. Maybe they won't be engineers but at least they'll walk out knowing more than when they walked in. Math knowledge can build a logical approach to solving problems and a way to think more abstractly.
