About Me

I am a senior Early Childhood and Elementary Education graduating from Oklahoma Christian University. I am currently student teaching in kindergarten and second grade. I plan to teach in Moore Public Schools next fall.

Experience

I worked at an after-school daycare from August 2010 through May 2011 where I worked with preschool age kids. I also baby-sat for twin boys, from age 4-6, for three consecutive summers. I helped teach them letters and numbers as well as reading, math and money. I have worked as an after school Nanny for three years helping with kindergarten- third grade homework. I have worked in a daycare from May 2013-August as a floating teacher and from April 2014-December 2015 a Two-Year old teacher.

Approach

As a tutor, I feel it is my responsibility to motivate students and instill confidence in the skill they are working on. I believe each child learns differently and can only succeed when they are met where they are and taught in a way they understand.
