Fun Facts

When I first came to college, I thought it would be the worst four years of my life, but as a senior now, I believe these four years have been best four years of my life. It was in college that I found what I want to do with my life, I formed deep relationships, and I learned life skills and developed my character in a way that I never imagined. Other fun facts about me are that I have a cat that I am severely allergic to, I love slurping noodles, and I love singing and music.

About Me

My name is Linda Liu and I am a senior at the University of Texas at Austin, studying neurobiology with the intention of going to graduate school for speech-language pathology. They say college is the time to find yourself: to establish your goals in life, to solidify your personal convictions, to develop meaningful relationships, to become familiar with who you are, to find things you love to do. For the past four years of my college career, I have committed to do these very things. Just this past semester, I found something that I really liked, something that I see myself doing in the future: working with children and adults with speech and language disorders and helping them to comfortably and confidently communicate despite their disorders.
My past experience as a austin">tutor include teaching science to kids at underprivileged elementary schools through various fun experiments. In addition, I tutored a middle school boy in different subjects, I worked as a teaching assistant in a physics class, and I informally taught my peers and freshmen students in various science subjects. I also worked as a research mentor in a lab and guided freshmen students through their research projects.
As a austin">tutor, I firmly believe in solidifying one's fundamentals in any subject he or she wishes to excel in. I also do not give direct answers to my tutees, but instead, I lead them to the answer in a step-by-step way so that they can work similar problems on their own. Overall, I wish to be a patient and humble austin">tutor and I see potential in all the students.
