About Me
I am a sophomore Biomedical Engineering major at Florida International University. When I graduate, I hope to work for a firm that specializes in nanotechnology as well as industrial design. I hope to patent my ideas one day.
Experience
Previously a member of the Math Honor Society and National Honor Society in high school, I had the chance to miami">tutor many students who struggles in the areas of science and math. Currently, I am a designated scholarship representative for my organization that is appointed to study with other members that are in bad academic standing.
Approach
By stimulating interest with a particular subject, students can build the self-confidence the need to solve problems on their own. I teach the concept that they are trying to learn step-by-step and then work on some examples with them. Then, i allow for them to do it by themselves. I also try to teach effective study skills that they can apply to other subject areas and feel a sense of accomplishment.
