Fun Facts
I absolutely love playing soccer! I played growing up and eventually became the Varsity Goalkeeper on my team in high school. I was first in my conference for my sophomore and junior years and became first in my district my senior year. I even played in two international soccer tournaments-- one in Barcelona, Spain and the other in Cesenatico, Italy. They both were incredible experiences that I thoroughly enjoyed! Among other facts, I enjoy weightlifting, travelling, and scuba diving.
About Me
I am a senior English Education major at the indianapolis">University of Indianapolis. I have been on the Deans list for all four years, and I have a GPA of a 3.78. I have thoroughly enjoyed my college career and I'm excited to start my career! I will be graduating in May and will either be attending graduate school to study Rhetoric and Composition or teaching in a secondary school. I have greatly enjoyed the diverse teaching experiences that I have had and am eager to build upon them in the future!
Experience
During high school, I was a member of the National Honors Society where I tutored several peers in subjects related to Religion, English, and Math. Since then, I have tutored several foreign exchange students and fellow peers in the areas of English writing especially. These experiences have well-prepared me to work with any students who need additional help with increasing their written and verbal communication.
Approach
Due to my focused area of study on Education, I have learned several teaching techniques to cater to each individual student's needs. I student taught several classes where differentiation was needed to aid students with special needs and multilingual learners in their understanding of literature, writing, and group work. As a indianapolis">tutor, I plan to use the techniques that I learned and practiced to provide individual support for the student of whom I am indianapolis">tutoring.
