Fun Facts
Perhaps my most favorite activity is baking! I love baking pies, cookies, cupcakes! You know name it, I'll bake it. So much creativity goes into baking. Plus, it's delicious!
I grew up in a really tiny town in Indiana. But don't let that fool you, I am addicted to traveling and being adventurous. Last year I lived outside of the United States for 7 months. I travelled from Ireland to Spain to Costa Rica (and many places in between). In each place I tried something new - even scuba diving!
About Me
I am in my 3rd (and final) year of Law School at DePaul University College of Law. I'm in the top 5% of my class and have been on the Dean's List every semester. When I graduate I will be attending New York University's Tax LL.M. program, with the end goal of becoming a tax planning attorney.
I grew up in Southeastern Indiana and attended Hanover College. I double majored in English and Political Science and graduated cum laude.
Experience
During my Senior year of high school, I tutored all math subjects for the National Honor Society. At college, I was selected and hired at the campus "Learning Center." I worked there throughout my college career chicago">tutoring in writing, political science, and statistics. During my Senior year of college, I was promoted to Senior chicago">Tutor and headed the Languages team. During that same period, I also worked with the local high school's AVID program, where I tutored high school freshmen in grammar.
Approach
I have always thought of learning as a fun experience. When I chicago">tutor, my goal is to help the students recognize the foundation of the problem. In my experience, students already know so much more than they think they do. Most just need help developing the skills to find the answer. I believe in asking questions, providing organizational methods, and research tips/tricks. These skills transfer to every day tasks!
