Fun Facts
While I am not at work and school, I love spending time in the great outdoors doing a variety of activities, such as rock climbing, kayaking, and most of all hiking! My dream is to one day climb Machu Pichu in Peru! Another passion of mine is traveling, so far I've been to France, Mexico, Canada, Nicaragua, and various other states in the U.S. I hope to travel more someday, and thoroughly enjoy learning about different cultures around the world!
About Me
I am currently attending the washington">University of Washington in washington/seattle">Seattle, and am pursuing getting my Bachelors in Early Childhood and Family Studies, with a minor in Spanish. Then continuing on to get my Masters in Teaching, with an endorsement in ELL. I am academically nearing the end of my sophomore year retaining a GPA of 3.64. I hope to one day become a teacher, having a passion for the Hispanic community, and students in low-income areas.
Experience
I was an active participant in the Teaching Academy program throughout my Junior and Senior years of High school which allowed me to be an intern in elementary aged classrooms everyday after school. During the two years of Teaching Academy I taught lessons in various subjects, and tutored small groups of students. I am excited to be a part of Frog washington/washington/seattle">seattle">Tutoring, and to spread my passion in education!
Approach
I have focused my whole life towards becoming a teacher, and most of all to have an impact on students, and to get students excited about their education! I am a strong believer in students being an active learner in their education, and pushing them to reach their highest potential. Not just giving them answers to questions, but instead guiding their thinking in order for them to be able to solve problems on their own. To create independent and active learners.

Early Childhood and Family Studies
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I am qualified to tutor in Reading Comprehension due to the evidence in my transcript that shows that I have gotten a 4.0 in every English class I have taken since the beginning of high school until now. My degree is pointed towards specifically working with children, and using all of my previous education in working with children. Therefore I not only know how to use reading comprehension in my own education, but also how to tutor a child in using it in their own studies.
English Tutoring
I am qualified to tutor in English due to the evidence in my transcript that shows that I have gotten a 4.0 in every English class I have taken since the beginning of high school until now. My degree is pointed towards specifically working with children, and using all of my previous education in working with children. Therefore I not only know how to use skills taught in English in my own education, but also how to tutor a child in using it in their own studies.

I am qualified to tutor math because I have completed all Algebra classes on the college level with a 3.5 or higher. Additionally I have taken classes that teach future teachers how to teach math to elementary aged students. The math for elementary school teachers Is a three part class in which I succeeded in getting a 3.5 or higher in all classes.
