Fun Facts
One of my favorite passions is music and high audio reproduction. I even design and build some of my own audio equipment, such as loudspeakers. Building stuff is my creative outlet! I enjoy painting and photography as well. Hiking and swimming are things I also enjoy.

Experience
As an electrical engineering student I took a lot of math! In fact, with my degree I almost have a minor in Math. I've been a tutor at Frog Tutoring for 2.5 years and love it! I have also tutored students of all ages from elementary school to college.
Approach
I find that one to one teaching is so important. In a classroom of 30 or more students, it is too easy for kids to get lost and not get their questions answered. I like to make math relevant to real life, give it meaning. I found that so helpful in my own studies. Give math purpose and make it fun. It helps the brain absorb information and retain it.

I have had lots of algebra classes including college algebra. As a senior at the University of Utah, I use algebra everyday doing homework for my electrical engineering classes. I've always done well at math, achieving A's and B's through my course work.

In meeting the prerequisites for the electrical engineering program at the University of Utah, I achieved an A in Trigonometry. I currently use it all the time in my course work, so it stays fresh in my mind. I've also had lots of math beyond calculus.
Middle School Math Tutoring
As a senior at he University of Utah, I use math all the time in working toward my degree in electrical engineering. I've always been talented in math. I love helping friends and fellow students with math.
Elementary Math Tutoring
As a senior at the University of Utah, I have taken lots of math classes in working toward a degree in electrical engineering. I love math and I am talented at it. As someone who struggled in elementary school I understand how important one on one help is from someone who understands. I'm particularly good at explaining things in an easy to understand way, and I like to make learning fun.
Macintosh Tutoring
I've used a Macintosh all my life and help my mom with her Mac too. She needs lots of a help and I'm always solving her problems. I understand the Mac well, and use computers all the time. I even write programs at times.
MATLAB Tutoring
I've used MATLAB a lot as I've a pursued a degree in electrical engineering at the University of Utah. I've also done programming in computer languages such as C++ and Fortran. MATLAB is great! You can do so much with it. I've very good at math as well.
Writing Tutoring
If really struggled with writing throughout school ... I understand how difficult it can be to put thoughts and ideas into coherent sentences, paragraphs, and stories. I achieved a high level of writing skill as I pursued a degree at the University of Utah. I got A's on most all my papers and a A in my last writing class. I'm very good at communicating ideas and helping people understand.
