About Me
I am a second year Graduate student in Speech Language Pathology at Temple University. The goal is to graduate in August of 2015 with my Masters in Speech and specialize in child language disorders.
As a student in Speech Language Pathology, I have worked with kids of all ages. This includes Birth-18 years old. I have a vast background in Language Development and both Expressive and Receptive communication skills. This gives me a unique perspective on challenges kids may have with reading.
Experience
As a Graduate student in Speech I have had a number of clinical practicums focused on language disorders. This encompasses reading-comprehension/pennsylvania/philadelphia">reading comprehension and expressive language delays. I have worked with a broad range of ages from 1-18 and have experience with both the school system and Early Intervention programs.
Approach
While I cannot offer Speech Language services at this time, my background in this field has given me a broad skill set in helping students with reading-comprehension/pennsylvania/philadelphia">reading comprehension. I was an avid reader growing up and believe that literacy is the most important aspect of education. I try and incorporate books that are motivating to each child in order to help them succeed with their goals.

As a Speech Language Pathologist -to be I have had a broad number of courses in the areas of Language Development. I have worked in High School, middle school and elementary school settings. In addition to this, I also have Early Intervention experience. I have worked both with typically developing students and those with special needs, developmental delays and intellectual disabilities.
Psychology Tutoring
As an undergraduate at the University of Florida, I took AP Psychology and passed the AP exam. I also took numerous Psychology courses at UF including developmental psychology, abnormal psychology and behavioral sciences. I also worked in a Cognition and Language Research Lab.
