Fun Facts
I enjoy a wide variety of hobbies from playing bridge to golf to spending time riding my motorcycle. I am the oldest of two siblings. The rest of my family lives several hours away, but when I get a chance, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends back home. I love to spend time with my 8-year-old niece who is a pure joy.
About Me
I earned my Masters Degree in Teaching from The indianapolis">University of Indianapolis with a concentration in Mathematics and Business. Before taking on my current role as an educator, I spent 16 years in the private sector working with retirement plan benefits and analyzing data as an actuary.
Experience
For the last year, I have been a student teacher at a small University-affiliated high school on the west side of Indianapolis where I have been teaching geometry to high school sophomores. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experiences with these young people and look forward to next year when I will be teaching full time.
Approach
In order to ensure that all of my students succeed, I employ a wide variety of strategies that I customize based on the strengths, weaknesses and learning styles of each individual student. As an educator, my most important goal is to teach students not only content, but also strategies that they can continue to use as they go forward in their educational career.
