Fun Facts
I have loved math for as long as I can remember. That was the one class in high school I never wanted to miss and I was always excited to get my homework done. I am still that way when it comes to my college math classes as well! My friends always come to me for math help and I love to help them!
About Me
I am a sophomore mathematics major at the washington">University of Washington. I am a member of the sorority Alpha Xi Delta. I am not sure exactly what I want to do when I graduate, but I will be happy doing anything that involves math.
Experience
I currently work at Kumon washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring center, it is my first washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring job. I didn't think I would love washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring as much as I do! Seeing the impact I make on the children's learning is such a great feeling and I can't wait to continue washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring!
Approach
My most important memory from high school was my AP Calculus teacher. He cares so much about his students and made sure all of us came out of his class every day having learned something new. He individualized his lessons for each of his students and he was always available for extra help. His favorite saying was "there is no such thing as a stupid question." I hope to be that way to the students I washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutor, I hope they always learn something from me and that they are never afraid to ask questions.

Mathematics
Algebra Tutoring
I took Algebra in 8th grade and I earned an A both semesters. I am currently tutoring some algebra at my current job. All upper level math requires algebra, so it is easy for me to teach because I do it every day!
Algebra II Tutoring
I took Algebra 2 in 10th grade and I earned an A both semesters. I tutor a few students in algebra 2 at my current job. All upper level math requires algebra 2, so it is easy for me to teach!
Calculus Tutoring
I took AP Calculus my senior year in high school. I earned an A both semesters and I got a 5 on my AP Calculus test. It was my favorite math class I have ever taken and I love teaching it!
Calculus AP Tutoring

Geometry Tutoring
I took geometry my freshman year of high school and I earned an A both semesters. It was the first challenging math class I ever took, but I learned it and I did well in the class and I would love to help students do the same!

Pre Algebra Tutoring
I never took pre-algebra, but I have taken algebra 1 and 2 so I could easily tutor it! It is a very important class for a student to do well in because it is the basis for many upper level math classes.
Pre Calculus Tutoring
I took Pre Calculus my junior year of high school and I earned an A both semesters. After the first few weeks of the class, my teacher asked me to skip the class entirely and switch into AP Calculus but I said no because I wanted to learn the material. I did very well in the class and I enjoyed it very much.
Middle School Math Tutoring
Middle School math is very important for a student to master because it is the basis for almost every upper level math class. Most of the students that I currently tutor are in middle school, so I have a lot of experience tutoring it!
Elementary Math Tutoring
Elementary School math is very important for students to master because it is the beginning of a long road of math classes. Most of the students that I currently tutor are in elementary school, so I have a lot of experience tutoring it!
