Fun Facts

I enjoy bike riding and playing the blues on my piano. I plan on taking a bike trip up the California coast with my son this summer. I also enjoy traveling to new places and meeting people from other countries and cultures.

About Me

I presently teach math/science in a private school in the Fort Worth area.

Experience

I have over 20 years of experience teaching. I have taught all levels of math and science from the kindergarten level to AP classes. Previous positions included math/science department chair, dorm parent and Director of Sustainability. I have several years experience in the boarding school world.

Approach

I like to try different things in my classroom. For instance, last
semester students designed a lab to measure the coefficient of
kinetic friction. I displayed the tools at their disposal and they
were able to research the topic beforehand. This activity turned
out to be a huge success utilizing many different methods and
also generated many topics that will be addressed next
semester. I believe that engagement and rapid feedback are
