Fun Facts
I'll be starting medical school in Fall of 2015. I love to kayak, skydive, and do adventurous things! I have 3 siblings, all who which are at least 10 years younger than me.
About Me
I graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelors in Chemistry and was placed on the deans list 4 years in a row. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a GPA of 3.86. I will be attending the University of Florida College of Medicine. Finally, I received a perfect score on the Biological Section of my MCAT!
Experience
During my second year as an undergraduate, I was a Learning Assistant for Chemistry students at FIU and led small group miami">tutoring sessions. I also spent most of my time during the last two years as a Scribe at Baptist Hospital of Miami and volunteered at Miami Childrens Hospital. Additionally, I helped found Clinical Understudy and Research Education (CURE) and also spent some time as the Public Relations Chair in Phi Delta Epsilon, a pre-medical fraternity.
Approach
Throughout my adolescent life I was lucky enough to have a father who also served as my personal miami">tutor. Whenever I tensed up and got frustrated because of problems I simple did not understand, he was there for me and encouraged me to always think outside-of-the-box. I enjoy instructing students of the many ways to approach sometimes difficult problems. Indeed knowing the content is very important, but I also believe critical thinking is also a very important quality to teach and convey.
