Greetings! I am a music loving, book loving, laid back person who loves to teach! I love to sing and watch movies. I am almost finished with graduate school and hope to begin a career as a therapist very soon. I look forward to meeting you!
About Me
I love reading and am passionate about helping others develop reading and comprehension skills. I also enjoyed English and Writing in school and could assist those struggling in this area. I minored in Spanish in college and it was a challenge, but I also had fun learning another language. I would be happy to help someone with this process as well.
Experience
I have worked in the childcare field for approximately 12 years. This includes various settings and ages ranging from birth to seventeen.I have worked in group homes, preschools, and in the public school system. This includes experience with those with behavior and learning difficulties.
Approach
I faced challenges in school as a child and I remember encouraging words and attitudes were what inspired me to do better. Demeaning words and frustrated yelling made me feel defeated. As I work to help struggling students I do not forget this and will bring an encouraging and positive attitude to my charlotte">tutoring sessions. I also find it important to assist students in finding study skills that pair well with their learning style so they can integrate these when studying independently.

Astronomy has interested me since I was a small child, this led me to choose this as my required Science class in college.
English Tutoring
I always enjoyed and excelled at English, making top grades. I am a skilled writer and as a graduate student, have typically made A's and B's on my papers even at this demanding level.
History Tutoring
I have always found history interesting and received A's and B's through high school and college in this area.
Psychology Tutoring
I will soon be completing a Masters degree in this area of study. I have maintained a 3.0 GPA in this field of study. I am very comfortable and excited to help somebody understand this fascinating field of study.
Religion Tutoring
This is my Bachelor's area of study and I maintained a 3.0 GPA in this area of study. Through this course of study I am comfortable helping anyone struggling in this area.
Spanish III Tutoring
I have an interest in Spanish that began in high school as I was completing the graduation requirement. I pursued a minor in college and received A's and B's in this field of study.
Study Skills Tutoring
My experience with children and studying Psychology has taught me the importance in helping students find study habits that work for the individual and how to integrate them into their lives.
Writing Advance Tutoring
I have experience writing papers at a level required for a Master's degree and really enjoy it! I am happy to help anyone struggling in this area.
Biology Tutoring
I had a wonderful Biology teacher who made this field of study interesting. I received a grade of A in this class in high school.
Music Theory Tutoring
I have experience in reading music, both in band and singing in choirs. I have also performed in musicals. I took music classes in college as well.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I always excelled at and loved reading. I typically received scores of A in my reading and English classes.I also have experience in the school system of working individually with students to help them become better readers.
Spanish Tutoring
My Spanish interest began in high school and it led to a minor in Spanish! I also have been a Spanish teacher at a preschool level.
Arts Tutoring
I was involved and greatly enjoyed drama and music throughout elementary school to present time. It is a passion of mine which I hope to pass on to tutoring clients!
Elementary Math Tutoring
I am able to help elementary students overcome math anxiety and can work with their learning style to become more confident in their abilities.
Social Studies Tutoring
I enjoyed Social Studies and excelled in this area as an elementary school student.
