Fun Facts
I love to read, write and grow vegetables in my garden. I've been fortunate to travel widely and have visited or lived in ten different countries! I enjoy spending time with animals and people, and being in the great outdoors.
About Me
After graduating from college I spent a summer volunteering on organic farms before moving to Tucson to attend graduate school! I'm now a graduate student in the University of Arizona's MFA program pursuing a career as a college professor. I'm passionate about learning and look forward to encouraging this passion in students of all ages!
While in college I worked as a tucson">tutor in the school's writing center assisting college-aged students with all parts of the writing process. While studying at the UofA I've worked as a TA for Eng396 Junior Proseminar in Research and Writing, assisting with lectures, grading and meeting with college students one-on-one to discuss their writing and research methods. While in Tucson I've also volunteered as a Teaching Artist at Corbett Elementary teaching creative writing to a class of gifted 4th graders!
I'm excited about helping students of all ages to achieve their academic goals by helping pinpoint specific challenges to their success and tackling these together. I believe that meeting with an experienced tucson">tutor one-on-one and getting specific subject-based attention is the absolute best way for a student to succeed where they are struggling. By implementing a combination of organizational tips and study skills, individual attention in specific subject areas, and reinforcing concepts, I believe any student can achieve their academic goals!
