Fun Facts
One thing people will learn quickly about me is the fact that I enjoy helping one and all but have the passion for children especially in an education aspect. I will buy and provide books and supplies they may need and the like. I am very friendly and willing to give the shirt off my back to anyone that may need it.
About Me
I relocated to Fort Worth. I'm working with CISD as a long term substitute. I am working on Texas certification. I have a Bachelor's in Elementary Education with special emphasis in Language Arts and Social Studies and my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with a Minor in Education Management and Development from New Mexico State University. While earning my degree I would make the Dean's list. My goal is to get a full time position with a school, learning center or college in this area.
Experience
I have always tutored students since my own high school days. I'd tutor my daughters' friends as well as my daughters. I've always volunteered to tutor students after school. While earning my degrees I did tutoring in numerous schools and would also go to students homes for one-on-one tutoring. I have helped high school students make up credits so they can walk with their class.
Approach
As a child I was a bookworm. I spent my extra time always helping my friend and their friends with homework especially essays and research papers. With not having the opportunity of going to college after high school I share with students how as a single Hispanic female I went against all odds to get educated and therefore, anyone can make education happen for themselves. I bring strong role model standards to students and help them learn skills and strategies so they will be successful.
