Fun Facts
I've been told by many of my students that I make some pretty interesting analogies and come up with some pretty unique examples. Take that as you will! I guarantee though that you will never be bored being tutored by me. I love laughing, having fun, and using humor. Even when it comes to studying standardized tests!
About Me
I am a Master's student at the University of Pennsylvania in their counseling and mental health program. My ultimate goal is to become a therapist for adolescents and to create my own mental health clinic in the greater Philadelphia area. I am passionate about mental health and love my work.
Experience
I have tutored the SATs and the GRE privately on a case by case basis and last summer I taught at an SAT prep summer camp. At the camp I worked as a Master Teacher, meaning that I tutored in Math, Reading, and Writing. I have raised my students scores in all sections and have raised scores an average of 300 points.
Approach
I strongly believe that every individual has strengths they bring to the table. I enjoy finding these strengths and working within them to help students improve on their weaknesses and expand on what they do well. MEdSAT Math Tutoring
I have worked at an SAT summer camp where I taught all subjects of the SAT. I have also tutored individually on a case by case basis. I have raised scores in all subjects (including the essay) and have raised the overall score on average 300 points. I am comfortable working with both basic and advanced students and can drill on difficult problems and go into advanced concepts of essay writing, all math topics, and grammar errors. I know several helpful reading strategies that improve speed and accuracy. My own SAT score was a 2190/2400 and an 11 on the essay. My SAT II math score was a 790 for the SAT math II test.

GRE Tutoring
I have tutored the GRE on an individual basis and have personally achieved scores of 166 or higher on both math and verbal on practice tests. I received a 162 in math, a 164 in verbal, and a 5.5 on my essay when I took my GRE.
