Fun Facts
I am originally from China, and took my secondary education in an international school in China. I know both Chinese techniques and American techniques of teaching Math very well.
About Me
I am a rising senior Mathematics Education major and Economics major at boston-university">Boston University. I've been on the Dean's List every semester up to now, and have some scholarship. My GPA is 3.84. I am in a licensed program, and will have Massachusetts math teaching license in 2016.
Experience
I am in a license program in boston-university">Boston University, and will be licensed as a high school Math teacher after I graduate. Up to now, I've finished my pre-practicum in Quincy high school, and did field visit in Lexington for a semester. I was a teaching assistant in a college summer school last summer, and worked with a professor from Williams College. I also had more than 8 months of after-school boston">tutoring/teaching experience in China.
Approach
There are too many people nowadays in America believing that only “gifted” students can do well in math, but I do not think it is true that the so-called natural talent can affect so much in high school math learning. As a math teacher, I have equally high expectations for every single student in my class, no matter what their grades are.

Calculus I Tutoring
I took Calculus 1 in Harvard Summer School 2010, and my grade is A. I took Calculus 1 again in Boston University 2012 Fall semester, and my grade is also A.
I've also taken Calculus 2, Multivariable Calculus, and Differential Equation. All the course grades are A. I also took AP Calculus in high school, but I didn't take the exam as I had had credits from Harvard.
Economics Tutoring
In Boston University, I am Econ major, and have taken Intermediate Micro, Intermediate Macro, and other 4 Econ elective courses. All my grades are at least A-. I got score 5 in AP Micro and AP Macro.

I took Basic Statistics and Probability in Boston University, and got A. I once was a math grader for a statistics course in Boston University.
