Fun Facts

I am a very active person and love to swim. Anytime I am free, I will be in the pool enjoying a swim or cooling off. I enjoy painting and dancing. In the near future, I hope to master the art of choreography.

About Me

I am a freshman at New York University (Class of 2019). I graduated high school with honors a 3.8 grade point average. I am a neural science/science/new-york/long-island">computer science major and aspire to become a pediatric neurosurgeon.

Experience

In my senior year of high school, I founded my own program called Excel Education Preparation. I tutored students in SAT math, writing and critical reading and began tutoring in science and math areas for high school juniors. I also worked with my school's guidance department to tutor high school freshmen and sophomores in Algebra and Chemistry.

Approach

As a child, I initially struggled with mathematics because I did not know how to approach a problem and didn't know how to ask for help. When I entered high school, I had a great teacher who encouraged me to remain steadfast in trying to learn and showed me different ways to solve the same problem. As a tutor, I like to use my former teacher's approach and show students multiple ways to solve problems and teach them the main content not just how to solve the problem.
