Fun Facts
I am a passionate educator who has been teaching professionally for over 8 years. I have taught in Chicago, Florida, and Southeast Asia. This variety of experiences has given me a unique perspective and talent for educating.
About Me
I am a 7th grade reading and social studies teacher at a level 1+ school with Chicago Public Schools. I have endorsements in English Language Arts and Social Sciences for grades kindergarten through 9th grade. Through my international experiences, I have taught a variety of subjects at all age levels.
Experience
Since 2008, I have been a professional chicago">tutor, instructing elementary and middle school students. Until recently, I tutored both at Kumon Lincoln Park and Bright Kids Chicago. I also tutored for 2 years in Thailand on the ACT, SAT, and TOEFL tests.
Approach
My approach to instruction is to follow the common core and ensure students master one skill before moving on to another. Through positive reinforcement and lessons with clear objectives, my students work diligently on grade-level texts that prepare them for the standardized tests and classwork they face at school.
