I love cooking and adventurous sports such as climbing and sailing, whenever an opportunity arises for me to enjoy these sports I seize it right away!
About Me
I am a graduate of Texas Christian University working on my Teachers Certification for the coming year to follow this with grad school shortly to earn my Masters in Cellular and Molecular Biology. I grew up in a Spanish and French speaking household and with parents who were both teachers. I have experience as a Head Tutor in public school.
Experience
I hold a B.S. in Biology with a French minor, have been the Head Tutor of the A.V.I.D. program in Fossil Ridge High School and am currently working on my teaching certification. I have lead study groups in every area I am offering to tutor in and I have experience tutoring students of all ages and content levels. I have worked with students with different learning styles including especially students with Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, and ADHD.
Approach
As the former Head Tutor of the AVID program at Fossil Ridge I learned strategies to help guide students to improve their study skills and lead them through positive encouragement, strategic planning, and insider knowledge of what is important, what works for different students of different learning types and how to best utilize time.
