I grew up in Canada and when i turned 18 I moved to the USA to for college. I am passionate about learning new things and I love to be outdoors. Fishing and music are my to biggest hobbies. I

About Me

My wife and I recently moved to the Philadelphia area. I spent the last year teaching high school science at a private school in Arlington, TX. Someday I hope to pursue a masters degree and eventually a doctorate degree and teach at the collegiate level.

Experience

I am Texas state certified teacher for both social studies and science. I earned a degree in history at Harding university and was accepted into the historical honors society. Throughout University I worked in a number different jobs where I was able to help achieve their goals. Most notable I worked at a youth drug treatment facility.

Approach

School was always difficult for me because I have a learning disability, dyslexia. As I grew older I found ways to cope and I was eventually able to graduate university cum lade with a GPA of 3.7 out of 4. I know what it is like to work hard a master skills that seem impossible. I believe anyone has the ability to learn whatever they want if they are willing to work for it. As a philadelphia">tutor, I attempt to empower students with this confidence and show them how to succeed in any academic endeavor.
