Fun Facts
I absolutely love to play Rugby. I actually played while in college. I also enjoy teaching and learning new things as well. In the near future, I hope to open a tutoring/daycare center.
About Me
I am a graduate from Molloy College and my major was Secondary English Education. I am currently a student teacher at St. Anne's school. I was also on the Dean's List almost my entire time being at Molloy College.
Experience
I taught at St. Anne's School, Freeport High School, and Southside High School. Not only do I have experience will all adolescent ages, I was also the Captain of my Rugby team in college. I have tutored many students before, as well as classmates.
Approach
As a child, I always played imaginary school, where I was the teacher. I loved the idea of being able to teach others and give others the knowledge that I had, but at the same time, I loved the idea of being able to learn from my students as well. As I grew older, my dreams did not change much. In high school, I always got myself involved in tutoring and after school clubs that allowed me to help others. Then finally, I went to Molloy College and got my degree in teaching.

Adolescent English Education
Homework Coach Tutoring
Homework is something that many students find difficult because they must do it independently. I will teach them not only how to do their assignment, but also how to get used to doing things on their own and being task oriented. I will teach students that homework will help them study for upcoming tests.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
Reading is something that most do not enjoy doing, but I on the other hand, love reading. When reading, one must understand what is going on and allow themselves to be taken in by the book. I would help the student understand the book better and come to a conclusion of what the author is really trying to convey.
Study Skills Tutoring
Studying is so important, not only for elementary school, but for their entire lives. In middle school, high school, and college, studying is something that must be learned. Studying skills learned at a young age is important because they will continue using this skill forever. I will teach them many different study skills and they will be able to see which one suits them best.
Writing Tutoring
With writing, everyone has their own voice. Learning to write starts from within. Then comes the grammar and all the other necessities to get a good grade. I will teach these students to write not only well, but to use their own voices.
Microsoft PowerPoint Tutoring
I use PowerPoint everyday, not only for my lessons that I create for my students, but I also teach PowerPoint to my co-workers. My co-workers find it very easy to use after being instructed by me. Majority of my co-workers now use PowerPoint within their lessons everyday.
Math Tutoring
Math is somewhat hard to learn for many students. I found this subject rather easy. As a child, I found new ways of learning math and I feel as thought teaching young children these ways will help them drastically.
