I love to do yoga! I practice every morning, and someday I hope to become a yoga instructor. I also love to go hiking and camping, and growing up, Kurt Vonnegut's granddaughter was one of my best friends.
About Me
I am a rising junior at Emory University, majoring in Psychology and Women's Studies. I love working with kids and giving them the tools to succeed, and someday I hope to be either a teacher, guidance counselor, or child psychologist. I am very dedicated to my studies and I love to learn, so I also aspire to earn a PhD in child development.
I have been working with children for several years. For the past three summers I have worked as a counselor at an overnight Christian camp, for children between the ages of 6 and 18. At the end of the year, all of my students made significant academic leaps, to the point where they are all on grade level. In addition to their scores improving, my students have also made significant gains in their confidence and independence. I am confident that they will all succeed in fourth grade next year.

Before each session, I check in with the student, gauge how they are doing emotionally and socially, and take time to foster a trusting relationship. By developing such a relationship, I think that atlanta">tutoring is more effective, and that both
