About Me
I have a bachelor's degree in Biology (with a minor in Spanish) and a doctorate degree in Pharmacy. I work as a health and wellness consultant.
Experience
Overall I have about 8 years of experience with one-on-one chicago">tutoring, from elementary to collegiate level courses. I served as a medical interpreter and translator for 5 years, and while in the Dominican Republic I taught conversational Spanish to English-speaking students. I am very adept to working with people from different backgrounds and learning abilities and look forward to sharing my knowledge and experiences with others!
Approach
I approach each chicago">tutoring session different, based on each tutee's unique learning capabilities, experiences and goals. I generally ask open-ended questions, allowing the opportunity to navigate to the answer rather than just saying it (brain memory). I also incorporate a lot of repetition and verbal engagement in my teaching.
