One passion people quickly learn about me is that I love to talk! I am a school speech language pathologist so talking is a part of the job! I also love to work out, travel and spend time with my family and friends.
About Me
I am currently a school speech language pathologist for the public schools. I have been working for the public schools as a speech - language pathologist for about 11 years.
Experience
I have extensive experience working with children who have speech and language impairments/ communication delays. I have worked with children who have Autism, Developmental Delays, Learning Disabilities and have experience with children in preschool through high school. I have a strong background with English/ Language Arts, Reading/Language Comprehension, Writing and working with children who struggle with phonics and sound development.
Approach
I love working with children and do my best to make learning fun. I provide positive reinforcement to children and find that a reward system can be beneficial to children who struggle with following directions and behavior difficulty. I find that persistence and determination can help anyone overcome any learning struggles they may have. I also think breaking down the lessons/ assignments will help children attend to task and grasp the concept.

MastersEnglish Tutoring
I currently work with children who have speech and language impairments. I work with them on using correct grammar when speaking. We work on parts of speech, comprehension and language arts curriculum for their grade level. I am able to assist them with correcting errors in their writing as well.
Homework Coach Tutoring
I am able to assist children with homework in the following areas: reading, writing, language arts, spelling and comprehension. I currently work with children who have speech and language impairments in the public school and have experience with the language arts curriculum.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I have experience working with children who have comprehension delays in the area of language. This does have an impact on their reading comprehension delays. I am able to work with children to improve their understanding of language and reading skills.
Study Skills Tutoring
I have experience working with children who have attention difficulties and grasping the best approach to improving their study skills in the areas of: spelling, writing, grammar, language arts, reading and comprehension. I have worked with children of all levels and feel confident in the ability to improve their study skills.
Writing Tutoring
I have experience working with children of all levels in the area of writing. I am able to assist them with writing sentences, paragraphs and lengthy papers. I have the ability to assist them with using proper grammar, punctuation and spelling.
