I love to read. It is my favorite way to relax and experience a new world, whether it be a castle in the middle ages or a space ship from the year 3000. My favorite book is East of Eden by John Steinbeck. I also love to act. There is nothing quite like the feeling of being on stage. It is my art.

About Me

I am an only child, born and raised in Fresno, and currently concentrating (majoring) in Physics at Harvard University. Since I have only completed one year of college, I am still unsure exactly what my ultimate goals are. I hope that after I finish my undergraduate work, I can go on to graduate school in Physics and continue my love for helping others learn by becoming a teacher or a professor.

In high school, I was a part of the California Scholarship Federation Club on campus. My school's chapter had a program for providing free boston">tutoring for one hour every week for students who needed help in a wide range of subjects. I was one of the boston">tutors my junior year and added on the job of organizing the boston">tutoring my senior year. In addition to that, I have spent summers helping students prepare for the SAT and ACT.

In order for the students I am boston">tutoring to get the most out of the boston">tutoring, I try to spend an equal amount of time going over concepts and going over simple time-management techniques, organization skills, and ways to think about problems so that the students can feel confident when they do their work. In order to make sure the concepts are completely understood, I go over the basic foundations with the student and then do several practice problems with them so that they understand how to do the problems on their own. Once I feel like they understand it, I will act as a "spring-board" for them to bounce their ideas off of and try to guide them in the right direction. I do not give answers, but try to guide the students to finding the answers on their own so that they can be confident in their own abilities.
