Fun Facts
When I'm not busy with work, school, or any free lance coding projects that interest me, I enjoy playing sports and video games. The sport at which I am arguably the most talented is soccer, and I happen to enjoy it the most. Other sports I enjoy are basketball and sand volleyball. As for video games, I enjoy a wide variety of games for the Xbox 360, Playstation 4, and the classic Nintendo 64.
About Me
Currently a Software Engineer at the University of Texas at Dallas focusing on Information Assurance and Networking , I plan to graduate in May 2016. I participated in an Information Technology internship at Texas Instruments as a web applications developer and completed a variety of projects that made a lasting improvement at the company.
Experience
Before attending the University of Texas at Dallas, I tutored younger students in Math and even lead a PSAT preparation course for math as a Senior. After graduating high school and attending the University of Texas at Dallas, I participated in informal dallas">tutoring sessions for friends in my field and assisted in Discrete Mathematics and Java basics. I look forward to sharing the programming techniques I have learned with those who may influence the world of technology or even become a coworker.
Approach
During a discussion with veteran software developers at Texas Instruments, many of them agreed that the most essential qualities of software development is the understanding of logic and programmatic flow. When teaching programming techniques, I have found that the best method of teaching programming concepts is the use of examples, walking step-by-step through actual program algorithms that visually convey the concept and analyzing the effects of any changes that would be made.

C++ Tutoring
I was introduced to C++ back in High School during my sophomore year, and I covered C++ again first year of college in Programming Fundamentals and Programming I. Refreshed my knowledge of C/C++ during my C++ in Unix Environment, which relied heavily on C++, and most recently used C++ in my Computer and Network Security class where we learned the pitfalls of C++, the history of computer security, and basic security practices using C++.
Computer Programming Tutoring
Besides majoring in Software Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas which focuses heavily on the aspects of programming and the logic behind any programming language, I have also completed many projects both for school and for Texas Instruments as an intern which have tested and utilized the knowledge I have obtained during my many years of studying programming languages.
Computer Science Tutoring
Although my major is listed as Software Engineer, the course track does not differ much at all from the Computer Science degree until the last and final year, which I am finishing Fall 2015 - Spring 2016 academic year. I am well practiced in the basics of computer science, programming languages, operating systems, and overall computer architecture.

HTML Tutoring
My initial experience with HTML began in High School during my Junior year, in which I took a self-paced HTML, CSS, and Javascript course. In that class the final project was developing my own, complete interactive website. After that, I did not get much experience with web based design until beginning my internship at Texas Instruments as a web application developer, in which I have used heavily HTML for the layout of my web applications. HTML is now very fresh in my memory and practice.
Java Tutoring
Java is by far my most favorite and well practiced language. Being introduced to Java in my senior year of High School, I instantly fell in love with it's simplicity and versatility. I continued to use it throughout my college years in Programming II, Data Structures and Algorithm Analysis, Software Engineering, Software Architecture and Design, and many more classes. I also currently use Java for my internship as a web applications developer for Texas Instruments. Out of all programming languages, Java is by far the language which I am most qualified to teach.
Javascript Tutoring
I was first introduced to Javascript in High School my Junior year at the same time I studied HTML. At that time, my Javascript knowledge was limited, but over the past few months my Javascript knowledge has spiked due to necessity at work for my internship at Texas Instruments as a web applications developer. Since the start of the internship, I have recognized the need for Javascript in web design, and I have even begun to study jQuery, php, and ajax in my free time to expand my knowledge and increase my tool set.
SQL Tutoring
As a Software Engineering major as the University of Texas at Dallas, I had to choose a guided elective track for an area of focus, and I chose Information Assurance to study database structure, data and application security, and other applications of data management. This, of course, heavily involves SQL, generating queries and updates to the database. Updating and retrieving data correctly is important, but accomplishing these tasks safely and efficiently are also vital parts of SQL use when involving databases, particularly ones vital to some function, possessing sensitive data, or containing large amounts of data. I have taken multiple classes over database communication and currently use SQL very frequently at my internship at Texas Instruments.
