Accounting Tutoring

As an undergraduate, I took three(3) accounting classes: Principles of Financial Accounting, Principles of Managerial Accounting, and Managerial Accounting. My grades were A, B, and A respectively. I tutored Principles of Financial Accounting for 2 years and I saw students' grades tremendously improve. Cengage Learning was a huge part of the success in tutoring this course because it exposed the students to a lot of practice questions.

Business Tutoring

As an undergraduate student, I took courses in Business Analysis, Business Communication, Finance, Marketing, and Management. Of all these courses, I made A's except Finance which I made a B. Through taking these courses, I was exposed to real life scenarios, topics and concepts that enhanced my ability to teach a business course.

Communication Tutoring

Being a good communicator is one of the most important things in order to be successful because everyday we are constantly selling things whether we know it or not. In order to receive a formal training on Communication, I took Composition, Business Communication, Honors Seminar, and did a sales internship. I made A's in all these classes and I completed my internship. These formal training set me up for any kind of Communication class I will be required to teach and the internship served as the icing on the cake.

Economics Tutoring

I have a BBA in Economics and I'm presently pursuing a master's degree in Economics. I have taken a total of about 13 Economics classes of which I made A's in 12, and although this is not an excuse for making a B in one of the courses, the course was based on Japanese history. I suck at History but I will make you fall in love with Economics as I have.

English Tutoring

Although English is not my mother tongue, I communicate with the language more than any other language. I developed a love for this language even before I moved to the United States when I was 16 for college. I have taken several English courses both in college and high school. I also took the Cambridge English which I made an A in.

As a child, learning was a difficulty. I soon realized my most effective way of learning and I customized study plans for myself in different courses. I have since then become an A student. In college, I tutored local and international students in different courses and saw vast improvements.

I have taken several writing courses in high school and college, and have received A's in these courses. My college teachers always used my papers as examples of excellent papers to my peers. I use writing as a way of expressing myself.

Homework Coach Tutoring

All through my life, I've had the role of being my being my little brother's homework coach. I worked with him for 3 years 5 times a week focusing on study skills and keeping him organized. I made a manual for him that contained studying strategies and various learning styles. I made sure that he was never frustrated but always motivated when it came to his homework, quizzes and tests.

I attended high school in Nigeria and had to take the TOEFL before I could be admitted into a college in the United States. I made close to a perfect score. I understand the difficulty that a lot of exchange students and immigrants face when it comes to the test because I faced them too. I also tutored my little brother before he took the TOEFL and he performed excellently.

Microsoft Excel Tutoring

I took a course in college that taught everything that comprised of excel and I also took another class where I had to use excel on a daily basis for my homework. In graduate school, I use excel almost everyday for my projects.

I took a course in College that focused on Microsoft powerpoint and made an A in the course. I also had to use Microsoft powerpoint for my presentations while in college.

Microsoft Word Tutoring

I took a course in College that focused on Microsoft Word. t and made an A in the course. I used Microsoft Word for all my papers in college and even graduate school. I use Microsoft word daily.

International Studies Tutoring

I majored in International Business while in college,and took courses that had relations with International studies. I have skills in analysis, research, writing, problem solving, and knowledge of other cultures.

I took sociology in college and made an A in the course. It expanded my knowledge about social order, social disorder, and social change. It also improved my analytical critical thinking and communication skills.

Religion Tutoring

I took religion for 6 years in middle and high school and I loved every bit of it. Although, I'm a devout christian, every aspect of religion fascinates me and I love hearing peoples' beliefs.

Social Studies Tutoring

I took social studies for 3 years in middle school. i took Sociology, History, Political Science, etc while in college and made mostly A's in these courses. I loved social studies and I still communicate with my social studies teacher.
