Fun Facts
One of my greatest passions is travel. I am grateful every opportunity I get to learn new languages and cultures, and always eager to explore new places, even in my own neighborhood! When I'm inside, I love to do various crafts, like knitting, sewing, and cross-stitching, sometimes while watching my favorite movies.
About Me
I recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puget Sound with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. Additionally, I belong to both the Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Kappa honor societies. I plan on continuing my education by applying to graduate programs in Ecology and Evolutionary biology. In the meantime, I will add to my undergraduate education by auditing classes at my university.
Experience
As a member of the Phi Eta Sigma Biological Honors Society and as a former Instructor's Assistant in Biology, I have had many opportunities to washington/washington/tacoma">tacoma">tutor my schoolmates in various biological sciences. Additionally, throughout high school, I tutored my siblings in various subjects. I'm am very excited for the opportunity to work with students of all ages in instilling a love for learning!
Approach
I've worked with many students who learn and retain information in very different ways. My strategy is always to determine how an individual learns best, and then help them to develop studying skills that work with their learning style. Most importantly, I make it a priority to show how much fun learning can be when it doesn't feel like a chore!

Biology Tutoring
I have taken numerous biology courses in college, including General Biology, Ecology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Animal Physiology, Conservation Biology, Evolution, and Field Botany. I received high marks in all of my classes and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. I am experienced in tutoring biology as a part of my membership in the Phi Sigma Biological honor society, and also as a part of my role as an Instructor's Assistant.

As a graduate of the University of Puget Sound with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in Classics, I am well equipped to handle a variety of writing assignments and have always received favorable assessments from my processors for my writing. I have had the opportunity to help students with their writing, both in my role as an Instructor's Assistant in Biology and as a peer reviewer in many classes.
