Fun Facts

One thing people quickly learn about me is that I love to dance. Any chance I get, I'm either teaching dance or learning dance. My years of experience led me to start my own dance team in college for which we even traveled internationally for competitions!

About Me

I am a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania in the Bioengineering department currently. I have about 4 years of experience philadelphia">tutoring students of all different ages and experience levels. I hope to graduate with a Masters of Science in Bioengineering and work in Genomics.

Experience

I worked previously at Kumon Learning centers, so I had the opportunity to philadelphia">tutor students in all areas of math and reading. From this experience, I learnt to adapt my teaching skills to a variety of students and their learning styles. I was also able to learn how to create lessons and alter the pace for every student. In college, I had the opportunity to also philadelphia">tutor my peers in subjects such as Calculus and Physics.

Approach

My approach is one of exploratory learning. Memorizing concepts was not helpful to me as a student and thus I do not encourage this approach with my students either. Rather, i encourage students to understand the core concepts and use practice as a way to cement those ideas. Hands on learning as well repetition of concepts may also be helpful depending on the subject.
