About Me
I finished my education at Cal State LA in March 2012, earning both B.S. and M.S. in Chemistry. I'm specialized in Analytical Chemistry, which allow me to operate and work with instruments. My goal is to work in the chemical industry and/or pharmaceuticals.
I was the tutor/mentor for Math, Physics, and Chemistry Departments at LACC. After moving to Cal State LA to finish my B.S. and obtain my M.S., I've become a Graduate Assistant for the Chemistry Department to help teaching Chemistry labs with Professors. I love to work with students to help them to have an understanding and enthusiasm in study, especially Chemistry.
With my tutoring experiences, I've found that students cannot do well because they don't understand the concepts and they lack the critical ability to solve problems. As a result, my tutoring approach is first to clearly explain the concepts. Second is to show students how to develop critical thinking, i.e. how to apply the concepts in solving any problems. The most importance in study for me is understanding, not just problems solving.
