I love swimming with exotic creatures in the ocean. Sharks and sea turtles are my favorite. I do have a soft spot for animals, especially for dogs. I am a fun loving, active, and adventurous person who have a passion to explore new places and travel the world. I would love to spend my evening star gazing and admiring the beauty of the sky.
About Me
I grew up with a diverse background due to the fact that my dad was a business man who needed to constantly relocate back and forth from Hong Kong to Los Angeles. Majority of my childhood was spent in Hong Kong. Eventually, I moved to Los Angeles for High School, then finally moved back to the city where I was born, San Francisco. I recently graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Physiology. I have a passion for science and my future endeavor is to apply to medical school
Experience
Throughout college, I've had experience tutoring my fellow classmates in subjects I feel confident in. During countless studying sessions, I've learned to pick up cues like asking the right question that would guide the group to learn and understand the topic
Approach
There is not a single studying strategy that works best for everyone because each student is unique in terms of his or her need and studying preference. One may prefer reading a textbook, while others may pick videos over textbooks. The most important job for me as a tutor would be to help students discover their best approach in studying and to become successful in their academic career. Also, I always prefer encouragement over criticism because positivity brings the best from students.

A good portion of my childhood and early adolescent was spent in Hong Kong. Given this background, both my Cantonese and Mandarin are fluent. I can speak, read and write in perfect Chinese so I am confident that I can be a good tutor for students taking Chinese as their second language.

After reviewing specific topics with her, I assigned problems for her to practice. Through practices, her math skills improved and she ended up being successful in the class.
