Fun Facts

I very much enjoy walking my dog, biking, hiking, and going to the gym. I LOVE working out at the gym. It is SO enjoyable, invigorating, fun, and creates such a positive mind set! Physical fitness is a very important part of my life! I also love to read non-fiction. I read to learn, and LOVE reading about educational techniques, theories, and teaching strategies.

About Me

I have earned teaching endorsements in Elementary Education, as well as in English as a Second Language from the University of Colorado at Denver. I have also earned a Master of Arts Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado at Denver. As a denver">tutor, I can now enrich, enhance, and facilitate the academic success, growth and progress for so many students on a individual basis! My specializations are in reading, writing, and math instruction!

Experience

I am a veteran teacher, and have taught for 7 years in private schools, and 20 years in public schools. Teaching has always be a tremendously important part of my life. I have loved my career as an educator! I have a vast amount of experience teaching regular, gifted/talented, dual exceptional, and special needs student Pre-Kindergarten through the fifth grade. I am now SO excited to bring my skills, talents, and abilities as a teacher and become employed as a denver">tutor for Frog denver">Tutoring!

Approach

It is my ultimate goal to fun and success learning experiences for all of my students! denver">Tutoring session should be fun and enjoyable, whereby each student has the opportunity to experience the joy of learning and to experience significant academic success! It is my philosophy to focus on the strengths of each student, and to build upon those academic strengths. Each student should experience academic growth and progress, and become life long learners and achievers.
