I have a wide variety of interests, including reading, writing, hiking, cooking, running, and getting to know people of all ages and personality types. Whatever I'm doing though, I like to keep things light and enjoyable. There's always a way to stay positive and extend that to others around.
About Me
I earned a BS in science/colorado/denver">Computer Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, graduating with a 3.8 GPA. I took a variety of math classes there, including Calculus 2 and 3, Linear Algebra, Numerical Computation, and Probability and Statistics. Also, I graduated from high school in 1994 with a GPA of 4.065, including A grades in all my advanced placement math classes. I have always enjoyed learning and helping others to learn. I decided to work for Frog denver">Tutoring to make a career out of this lifelong interest and to help others learn in whatever capacity I can.
In addition to working here, I have tutored math both on-line and privately since June of 2012. In high school and college, I was frequently involved in study groups that often resembled denver">tutoring sessions as well. I am also a certified meditation instructor, so I'm used to working with a variety of different individuals, each having their own unique talents and limitations.
My approach to denver">tutoring is to first understand the student as much as possible, both from the student's perspective and from the parents' and teachers'. I also feel it's important to clarify the expectations of everyone involved at the beginning so we can be confident that we're addressing the highest priorities in a way that makes sense. It's also important to me to arrive on time, without distractions, and fully up-to-speed on the subject matter I'm denver">tutoring. I want to provide the best service I can so that everyone feels good about the experience.
