Fun Facts

I am a musician! I began as a music major and I play the trumpet, piano, and I love jazz music. I also love fishing(especially deep sea)! In addition, I am an animal lover and have had almost every type of pet there is.

About Me

I am a senior at the University of Texas at Austin on full scholarship and I will be graduating this fall. My major is political science with a minor in Spanish and music. I have a 3.6 GPA with a 3.8 major GPA. I pride myself on my academic achievement and have made the dean's list every year of my college career. I am heavily involved in student government organizations on campus. I plan to attend law school in the near future or work in government and politics.

Teaching and tutoring is one of my many passions. I have tutored other students for 7 years beginning formally in high School and professionally for 5 years. I was section leader and drill instructor for 4 years in my high school marching band. I was also president of the National Honor Society chapter at my high school where I was assigned students to tutor having trouble with the TAKS test. I later went on to conduct private tutoring throughout my college career.

I get a great feeling of satisfaction when I teach somebody a new concept. Education is very near and dear to me and I am very passionate about it. Each student has individual needs and must be catered to on an individual basis. A good teacher is necessary to help a student reach their full potential. I will create a custom plan for each student and make sure that the student reaches his or her goal.
