Fun Facts
I am a book lover! I believe literature is a great tool to help expand our minds. There is no end to knowledge and fun that can be gained inside a good book! I also love to sing. I usually sound like nails on a chalkboard but I gain extreme joy while doing it.
About Me
I am currently a Sophomore at Georgia Gwinnet College. I am a member of our Honor's Program. I have also been placed on the Deans List for academic excellence every semester since enrolling. When I graduate my goal is to enter the public school system and teach grades 9-12, while simultaneously pursing my Masters in English Literature.
Experience
My experience is rooted in my family. Not only have I tutored children previously ranging in ages 5-16. I am also currently teaching my own child to read. I am currently enrolled in classes that are giving me further tools to help teach and atlanta">tutor children based on their individual needs. I hope to continue helping children gain knowledge through Frog atlanta">Tutoring.
Approach
I have a three step approach to atlanta">tutoring.
1. Assessment - What are you struggling with? Do you understand it partly or not at all? I will do this by reviewing sample work and asking pointed questions.
2.Positive reinforcement - Shine a light on the positive aspects of the work while simultaneously working on the problem areas.
3. Once the student has made progress I will tailor make a study skill plan to further their progress.

English Tutoring
I have taken all the basic English courses as well as Advanced research, Intro to English Studies, World Literature, American Literature and Advanced Education: Teaching and Learning classes. These classes have given me knowledge in not only content but multiple teaching techniques as well.
Writing Tutoring
I have taken writing courses as well as attended writing workshops and Seminars. In all of my Instruction I have received no lower than an A on writing and research assignments.
Study Skills Tutoring
I have been helping to organize not only my own study space but the space and routines of others as well. I am confident in my ability to tailor a study plan best suited for each individual student I encounter.

Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I have researched Classical, and Modern Literature ranging from Shakespeare to Tony Morrison and many in between. In all assignments related I have received a grade no lower than an A.

I have taken and passed all math's available on a high school level, as well as, taken advanced math on the college level. All classes were passed with a grade no lower than an A.
