Fun Facts
I enjoy reading, and have recently discovered a love for creative writing, as well. My favorite newly-discovered genre to read and write is detective mysteries, and I discovered this by writing an alternative chapter of The Talented Mr. Ripley for my class. I wrote the entire chapter while listening to Beethoven's 7th Symphony (2nd movement), and that's how I also discovered my love for classical music, although Rock will always be my favorite. I also LOVE dogs and generally all animals.
About Me
I am a graduate English major and Philosophy minor from the University of California, Los Angeles with a GPA of 3.6+. I transferred to UCLA with an Associate degree in English. I now plan to attend law school. Besides English, I speak fluent Armenian and Hebrew, and I understand Russian. I also took three semesters of Spanish classes in my junior college.
Experience
Since English is subject that everyone studies at some point, I've helped many colleagues and children with developing writing skills, reading and literature comprehension, and an overall strengthening of the subject's approach. I tutored during the two years at my junior college, as well as during my time at UCLA. I look forward to the opportunity of tutoring more people, and continue helping others with the subject that I love.
Approach
Language has always been a big interest of mine, and I ultimately chose to be an English major because of my love for reading, which developed into a deeper interest of the subject's complexity. I want to inspire people and aid them in their reading and writing needs in a way that they will be able to remember and apply in their future essays and/or exams, or when they are simply reading a book.
