Fun Facts

I come from a long line of singers. From old time gospel to bel canto opera, I enjoy the art of singing. In my family, your training begins around the age of five. Stage fright and any fear of communicating with large groups is gone by eight. Also, I love horse back riding and reading books that relate to international relations.

About Me

I am Alexander J Barron, a junior international studies major, Chinese minor, from Atlanta, GA. I have a 3.97 GPA. I am a lover of scholarship and culture. Upon graduation, I intend on attending Johns-Hopkins/Nanjing Universities. They have a Master's Degree in International Affairs, where you write and defend your thesis in Chinese.

Experience

This summer I interned at United Way in their Education department, where I spent hours daily helping them understand the stresses and strains on students across and beyond the metro-Atlanta area. I empower youth (11-22) emotionally as a peer counselor. I have tutored throughout high school and college. I have written workshops on writing and general academic excellence. The latter I have presented at the last two Latin American Association's Youth Leadership Conference to ninth graders.

Approach
